Bond over a burger with Dad this Father’s Day

    In honour of Dads this Father’s Day, we think it’s only fair to consider what matters most to them …besides us, obviously. BURGERS! What Dad doesn’t love a hearty burger, and we all know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. 

    Besides being able to put a smile on his dial, this is a great opportunity to bond with Dad while cooking a delicious and easy meal that the whole family will enjoy. Here at HelloFresh, we’ve put together a list of our top 5 Kiwi rated burger recipes.

    Cheesy Beef Burger

    Sometimes sticking with the classics is the way to go! A beef burger with cheese. What could be better? How about adding some smoky aioli and caramelised onion, and wallah! The perfect burger. Help Dad whip up this tasty, yet simple meal and bond over the mouth watering aroma.

    What you’ll need: Serves 4

    A drizzle of Olive Oil

    2 Garlic Cloves

    100g block Cheddar Cheese

    1 bunch Parsley

    2 Brown Onions

    2 Tomatoes

    1 head Cos Lettuce

    ¼ Cup Fine Breadcrumbs

    2 Eggs

    ½ tsp Salt

    500g Beef Mince

    4 Burger Buns

    2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar

    2 tbsp Warm Water

    2 tsp Brown Sugar

    Rosemary & Parmesan Crumbed Chicken Burger

    There’s no better way to bond than over a scrumptious tender chicken burger. Topped with a blanket of smoky aioli and accompanied with a soft brioche bun, you’ll taste delight in every bite. 

    What you’ll need: Serves 4

    A drizzle of Olive Oil

    25g block Parmesan Cheese

    4 sticks Rosemary

    2 Tomatoes

    1 head Cos Lettuce

    4 tsp Balsamic Vinegar

    2 tsp Honey

    1 Cucumber

    2 ½ tbsp Plain Flour

    1 tsp Salt

    2 Eggs

    1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs 

    4 Chicken Breasts

    Sweet Chilli Pork Burger

    This twist on a hard to fault classic is just what you need to jazz up your Father’s Day weekend. The juicy pork patty coated in a sweet chilli glaze, adds a great new element to this classic burger that takes it to the next level. 

    What you’ll need: Serves 4

    A drizzle of Olive Oil

    3 Potatoes

    1 tbsp Sesame Seeds

    1 Carrot

    1 bunch Spring Onions

    4 cloves Garlic

    2 Tomatoes

    2 1/2 tbsp Water

    50g tub Sweet Chilli Sauce

    4 tsp Soy Sauce (for glaze)

    100g tub Garlic Aioli

    150g packet Slaw Mix

    2 tbsp Crushed Peanuts

    600g Pork Mince

    ½ cup Fine Breadcrumbs 

    2 1/2 tbsp Soy Sauce (for the patties)

    400g Haloumi

    2 Brown Onions

    60g bag Mix Salad Leaves

    4 tsp Balsamic Vinegar (for the dressing)
